Faculty & Internship Placement Coordinator– Co-Occurring Disorders
The Co-Occurring Substance Use and Mental Health Disorders program at Adler emphasis includes an internship component, which allows the student to demonstrate an ability to take an integrated approach to addressing co-occurring disorders. The core program focuses students on learning knowledge, skills, and developing attitudes for working with clients, families, and communities impacted by substance use and mental health disorders. Counselors and therapists with training in Co-Occurring Disorders work in numerous settings that provide education, health, mental health, criminal justice, and chemical health services to individuals, couples, and families.
Rashida Fisher is a Masters level Counseling Psychologist as well as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Rashida also co-hosts a weekly radio program on KMOJ.
