Practice Overview: Dr. Williams is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who treats clients across the life span. However, her targeted populations of care include children and adolescent with ADHD and behavioral issues; adult clients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADD/ADHD, and substance abuse disorders, as well as, having a specialized focus on the veteran and elderly populations who need mental health treatment.
Dr. Williams has proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for over twenty years. In addition, Dr. Williams also has over twenty-25 years of nursing experience with her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) and Master’s Degree in nursing earned and awarded from the University of South Alabama. She completed her Master’s internship at Biloxi Regional Medical Center, Biloxi, MS and she completed her DNP residency at New Leaf Behavioral Health Clinic, Wichita Falls, TX.
Dr. Williams has three graduate certifications: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner post-graduate certificate earned from the University of Southern Mississippi; Geriatric Nurse Practitioner graduate certificate earned from University of South Alabama; and Adult Nurse Practitioner post-graduate certificate earned from the University of Massachusetts. She is board certified as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner.
Specialty: Geriatric Psychiatry focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions in older adults.
