Conducting counseling sessions for adults recovering from an acute episode of mental illness. Practice in providing mental health education to mentally ill adults. Conducting intake and diagnostic assessments for adults seeking mental health treatment at a large urban mental health center. Inclusive of short-term counseling to help alleviate symptoms of an acute episode of mental illness, as well as longer term follow-up counseling to help clients stabilize and realize other life goals. Provide professional referrals to community resources for clients, completing court and medical forms requested from clients.
